Meet Gérard Jéhin

I fell in love with painting from my earliest childhood. Guided by my father who held my hand, I have never left this passion since then. At 20 years old I received my first box of oil painting and it still serves me, the box of course, the tubes are often renewed. I experimented with a lot of techniques, watercolour, drawing in Chinese ink, acrylic, engraving with the print of the Rhine in Strasbourg, where I participated in many exhibitions.

But I always return to my first love, oil painting.

My favourite subjects are nature, wild nature without human trace preferably. Inspired by Russian painters of the 19th century and especially by Ivan Shishkin for whom I have great admiration.

I have participated in many group and individual exhibitions.

Now in the evening rise of my life I continue to paint, I still have twenty years and more than fifty years of experience.
